Hannah Lees, Lucy Hobson, Amy Miller, Danni Dunkiert, Jenna Morris, Justine Shaw and Tasha Routh formed the Lancashire Barbarians side, with Burnley & Southport, to play against Hoppers Ladies in a curtain raiser prior to the Hoppers vs Fylde Brendan Hanavan Memorial Match.

Hoppers fielded a strong side including international players from England and Scotland, but the invitational Greens side brought grit and determination to the pitch. The newly formed 'Greens' showed a promising start and the determined side lead at half time, with tries from Hannah, Jenna, Justine & Amy. However, Hoppers came out strong in the second half and ran in some great tries, resulting in a loss for the Lancashire Barbarians side.

The game was to showcase Women's rugby in the region and with the game played in such great spirit it did just that!
