There will be 5 full-day sessions, involving a mixture of all things rugby. Mainly outdoors, there will be fitness/strength training, technical skills/drills as well as theory/classroom sessions. It should be a fun and valuable experience and prepare you well for what should be a tough season ahead (at the time of writing, the Raging Bull Colts League pools have not been decided, but I will let you know as soon as I find out – we have asked to be in Pool B).
With the vagaries of the English summer (!) please wear/bring appropriate clothing – try and use some COMMON SENSE! I would suggest bringing a change of training gear, as well as clean clothes to go home in. E.g. if it is wet/muddy/raining whilst you’re doing an outside session in the morning, you might want to change into something clean/dry for lunch or for an inside afternoon session. Depending on the weather forecast, a waterproof top or jacket might be advisable.
Although lunch is provided, I guess you should bring a water bottle.
I believe part of the course includes getting a basic/junior-level refereeing qualification and I would encourage you to volunteer to referee some of the mini/midi teams on Sunday mornings.
We do expect everyone to attend, but as I need to give Geoff confirmation of numbers please confirm that you will be, by Monday 17th June.
