Sunday 31st October

The coaches decided to play two matches so that all players got a decent game.

Match 1 25-10

Marple scored a very fast first try. This made the boys jump into action, and after some good passing Mikey equalised. Bradley was unfortunate after an excellent run down the wing. A great tackle by Callum gave Bury the advantage and Oscar scored Bury’s 2nd try. The second half saw some strong driving leading to Zack scoring his 1st try of the match soon followed by Mikey who scored his 2nd. Zack scored his 2nd try after a determined run-“it’s surprising what happens when you wake up” shouted his dad who was cheering on the touch line! In the last few minutes of the match Callum drove Marple into touch inches from the try line.

Match 2 20-15

Hayden, after some excellent team work with Oscar, started the second match well by scoring the 1st try. Will was also unfortunate after an excellent run down the wing. Bury’s 2nd try was scored by Oscar after some impressive weaving in and out. Oscar was prevented from scoring again by a high tackle from Marple. The second half was dominated by Bury resulting in Will scoring his 1st try and Hayden scoring his 2nd of the match.

Summary

The boys continue to play well. As in previous weeks they are working well as a team listening to each other and passing and driving well.

Man of the Match went to Joel for his fantastic effort & performance.
