Marple U9's 5 - 30 Bury U9's

Firstly a big welcome back to Anna King

It was a lovely morning for this game.

The boys played two 20 minute matches

Match 1 Marple 5 – 10 Bury

The match started with some excellent play from the boys. They started attacking from the beginning forcing Marple back into their own half. Will made a good start by doing a good run down the wing. The boys started to pass the ball which resulted in Nick scoring the first try. After a lot of determination Will scored the second try after another excellent run down the wing. Will showed some excellent foot work throughout the match.

Match 2 Marple 0 – 20 Bury

Again an excellent start. Within the first 10 seconds Adam made a break on the blind-side scoring the first try of the match. Marple started to attack well but were unable to get through because of the Bury defending and driving. Will did some good ripping of the ball. Anna and Andrew did some excellent tackling and running with the ball. Our second point was given by a penalty try (the referee adjudged foul play stopped an inevitable try). The third try came from Nick, his second of the day, and the final try came from Bradley after excellent passing and a good run

The team again showed some improvement during the matches.

Man of the match rightly went to Nick who showed a lot of determination throughout both matches
