Eccles 15 v 25 Bury

1st Period
The boys started off slow with Eccles getting through to score the first try of the match. Bury then start to pass the ball which followed by an excellent try from Callum. Oscar then put Bury in front by receiving an excellent pass and running down the wing to score our second try. Eccles then equalised just before the break.

2nd Period
After some excellent passing and teamwork from Will and Oscar, Oscar put Bury back in the lead. Will then, after much determination, scored the forth try.

3rd Period
After a slight disagreement between the two of the Eccles players and one of them refusing to play and as Eccles only had nine players they were one man down so Zack. S kindly offered to play for them.
Zack S helped Eccles along by scoring a fantastic try !!
The winning try of the match was scored by Mikey.

Man of the Match - Adam for his all-round play today and his excellent performances over the last few weeks.

Coaches Note:
Arrived at Eccles anticipating a very good tough game as they have had an excellent season winning the majority of their matches, and this is exactly what we got, Eccles only had 9 players of whom were all of a very good standard, excellent in the tackle and ruck, an all-round robust and determined side. Bury however have developed themselves over the last third of the season and have added a robust & determined edge to there free- flowing running game and after the first period really started to match Eccles in the physicality of the game. By the third period, what with the warm weather and lack of players Eccles started to struggle so we shortened the time of this period.
A big thank you to the Eccles team and coach for an excellent game of rugby which we all enjoyed immensely.
